We recognized the need to make our brand packaging more relevant to a UK audience and engaged The Brand Nursery to define how best to do this. There were some real challenges in executing this, but they came back with some really excellent work - delivering an architecture that could be applied across all our categories and variants. In the end, we ended up with packaging that conveys a more premium look consistent with the high quality of the product itself, that communicates the charity mission of the brand, and that is recognizable and familiar to our current consumers. And finally, in store, we think it really stands out, which is quite an achievement in the face of competing brands in our sector. We love it.

The Brand Nursery has been central to the success of an inaugural fundraising event for Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Hospice in Bradford. We organised our first Midnight Walk in June 2009 and The Brand Nursery’s work was instrumental in exceeding all of our targets for participants and money raised. From the very beginning The Brand Nursery showed passion, enthusiasm and dedication in understanding our requirements for the launch of the X1 and the 5 series Gran Turismo. Their press kit captured, not only the 'functional' requirements, but also delivered both the premium nature of the models and the BMW brand through superb use of materials, images and copy. The project was undertaken and delivered in tight timescales, but this did not impact on the quality of the work. The Brand Nursery even supplied us with disposable gloves to ensure the kits were handed out in pristine condition - that sums up their levels of service and the value they wish to add!

What I like about The Brand Nursery is that they have that rare combination of people with big agency, big brand experience but with a small agency attitude. They have consistently shown great ability to get to the heart of a branding issue, to uncover and articulate a clear strategy, and to come up with really strong creative solutions. They're also a great bunch of people to work with, whether it's a formal strategy development or informal chat or a sounding board, although I do question their fashion sense sometimes.
