Established in 1790, Burgess is a British family owned company steeped in heritage. They are experts in animal nutrition and the health and happiness of pets are their number one goals. They are now a leading UK manufacturer of pet food, catering for animals big and small.
We’ve worked closely with Burgess on the development of their brand identity following the launch of their new brand positioning as ‘The British Family Experts’.
Caring lies at the core of Burgess; it’s a powerful and emotive heart to the brand and something which is highly relevant and appealing to pet-owners. We wanted their new identity to reflect this and it now sits proudly across the entire Burgess and Burgess Excel ranges.
We also worked with Burgess on the Paul O’Grady range, which involved a photo shoot at the radio and TV celebrity’s home. The packaging, featuring Paul with some of his own dogs, uses colour coding and clear iconography to distinguish between the variants, including a hypoallergenic recipe for dogs with sensitive stomachs.
