JDM Foods at Lunch!

We were asked to design and oversee the building of an exhibition stand for the JDM Food Group for the prestigious ‘Lunch!’ Show at London Excel.

They wanted a space that communicated their expertise in fresh flavour as well as their four main trading channels – retail, manufacturing, food service and meal delivery. We explored possible design routes and landed on The Creative Kitchen – the source of JDM’s culinary expertise. The idea then developed into an actual kitchen, and the JDM chefs came on board to cook up some treats for visitors to the stand.

We designed and created a working kitchen area, including an oven and fridges, where food was prepared and served. There was also a wall mounted LED screen showcasing the corporate video that we designed and produced for them earlier this year. The space was planned with the aim of achieving the right balance between standing and seating areas. It had to be a place that would allow passers-by from the bustling aisles to try the delicious samples that were on offer, as well as seating for discussions.

The exhibition stand also provided JDM with a great opportunity to showcase their new Just Add range of cooking pastes and sauces. A section of the stand was dedicated to Just Add, and the new pack designs that TBN have created for the brand.

Sustainability was an important part of the brief. Our construction partner, Skyline Whitespace, supplied rental aluminium structures, and created reusable assets that JDM were able to take ownership of for future exhibitions.

It isn’t too often that we are able to stand inside and experience our designs, and we hope to do more projects like this in the future!
